Medvedenko Stanislav Yuriyovych (SLAVA)

Basketball career of Stanislav Medvedenko:

  • future NBA Champion was born on 4th of April 1979,
  • in 1992 was first Slava's aquentens with basketball,
  • from 1992-1996 was getting skills from his first coach - Kovalenko Alexandr and was playing for Youth Academy #3, Kiev city
  • in 1997 was his first basketball debut with "Dendi-Skif" and "Dendi-Basket" basketball teams (Kiev),
  • 1998 was playing for BC "Budivelnyk" (Kiev),
  • 1998-1999 season was playing for BC "Alutus" (Lithuania). As a result of the season was called Best Legioner of Lithuanian Basketball League,
  • 1999-2000 season back to Ukraine. Was played for BC "Kiev" and leaded team coached by Kovalenko Dmitriy to the winning Ukrainian National Championship and Final Four ULEB Cup,
  • 2000-2006 season was played with "Los Angeles Lakers" in National Basketball Assosiation (NBA),
  • On 30th of December 2000 was his debut in regular championship NBA with "Lakers" vs. "Phenix",
  • 2000-2001 season - NBA Champion with "Lakers",
  • 2001-2002 season - NBA Champion with "Lakers",
  • From 2005 Honored President of Public Organization "Stanislav Medvedenko Foundation",
  • 2006-2007 season was played with NBA club "Atlanta Hawks",
  • From the end of 2007 do not play professional basketball because of chain of different serious injures and troumas,
  • 2010-2011/2011-2012 seasons - coach of second team BC Budivelnik Kyiv,
  • 2010-2011/2011-2012 seasons - coach of U-16/U-17 National Team of Ukraine.
  • 2012-2014 seasons - assistant coach of Mike Fratello National Basketball Team of Ukraine (Eurobasket 2013 and World Cup 2014)
